One-dimensional metastructures composed of cables with scatter masses: waves, vibrations and band gaps

چکیده

Abstract. This work analyzes the dynamic behavior of structural elements that can be modelled as taut cables with a discrete array punctual attached and hanging masses. The propagation mechanical waves is strongly influenced by presence such scatter elements. We found problem governed equation, whose solutions depend on an equivalent mass density, varies frequency. spectrum characterized band gaps. generally exploited for design metastructures. A parametric study finally given.
